Six students have been authorised by Master Wu Nanfang to teach his kungfu, have reopened their schools and continued to teach. Emilio Pacini (photo above) has a school in Bratislava, Slovakia, Alessio Casarotto has one in Mira, Northern Italy, Naomitsu Zahiro has one in Italy and Michael Bryard is teaching in Paris and Brussels. Emilio, Alessio and Naomitsu can be contacted on Facebook (Chan Quan Kung Fu Bratislava | Facebook and Guardiano del Tempio – Shaolin Gulun Kungfu Italia | Mira | Facebook). Ben Lucas (the one responsible for this website) is based in the Zen academy, training with Shifu Wu Nanfang directly, and teaches online.

Gulun Kungfu in the west is also extremely fortunate to be supported by many interested people, foremost amongst them being five practioners, all of whom (except for one) run and teach in their own martial arts school. They have all visited or trained at the Academy in China and have a love for Gulun Kungfu. These friends are Marco Pallassini who runs the Chan Dao Kung Fu School in Italy, Jeroen Herzeele who hosts Michael Bryard’s workshops in Belgium: Shi Yan Xiang who runs the Shaolin Temple Athens in Greece; Shi HengYi of the Shaolin Temple Europa in Germany; and Bruno Tombolato (Shi Xing Ying) who runs the Shaolin Cultural Centre in Spain. (All can be found on Facebook and Instagram)
Chen Geng
Chen Geng is the most experienced teacher of Gulun Kung Fu in the West. He teaches from his base in Moscow and also teaches online.
He personally taught Shifu Shi Heng Yi when he visited China and remains good friends with this world-renowned master.

Emilio
Emilio Pacini has studied Gulun Kung Fu with Master Wu Nanfang since 2010 and now teaches in Slovakia. After ten summers at the Academy, he understands the unique challenges Western students face—where we seek quick, rational understanding, kung fu demands patient bodily experience that may take years to comprehend.
His first week exemplified this perfectly: despite years of prior training, he spent seven days practicing static positions. Throughout his decade of study, Master Wu often refused to teach new forms, insisting instead on deeper practice. What seemed like punishment or secrecy was actually pointing to the art's essence.
The foundation is Zhuang Gong (standing practice)—the "water" that brings out the tea leaves (forms). Through this practice, students develop profound relaxation, learn to 'sink' their weight, and find their structural center, supporting themselves through skeletal alignment rather than muscle. These principles reveal themselves only through consistent, dedicated practice
Michael Bryard
Michael Bryard's life changed when he met Master Wu Nanfang and joined his school in 2016. As a French student of Grand Master Wu Nanfang at the Gulun Quan Fa school (WuGulun ChanYuan), Michael never imagined he would one day teach. With the Master's agreement, he began spreading Wugulun Gongfu culture, first in Belgium and then more officially in France. His practice level allows him to transmit the postural foundations (Zhuan gong) and health exercises (Ba duan jin, Pangen).
In response to growing demands for stability, harmony, and peace in our unnatural modern world, Michael teaches mostly through private lessons or small groups. The art requires precise postural correction, so he only teaches in person to avoid mistakes and injuries. He travels to meet motivated students, seeking those with passion and commitment, as the Way requires time, patience, and gentleness. While he has a practice room in Brussels and teaches outdoors when weather permits, he currently operates without a website, welcoming students to Belgium or France through direct contact via the following:
